Looking for a Cotswolds Shop – then you will find them all over the Cotswolds. The Cotswolds is a great place to shop because it’s full of shops to suit the whole family! From wonderful farm shops and delicatessens to the famous fashion labels. Maybe buy some local Cotswold produce or try on some designer clothing – It is a joy here in the Cotswolds.
As a result you will find a wonderfully diverse collection of Cotswolds shops across the villages and small towns.
If souvenirs and gifts are your thing then you will be in your element because the small Cotswold towns offer fun tourist gifts but also high quality produce and products. Find designer tweed in David Beckham’s home town of Stow on the Wold or the track down celebrity chef favourites such as Cotswold Gold rape seed oil.
Likewise, if unusual and unique to the Cotswolds shopping is your thing, a visit to Bourton on the Water, Burford, Stow on the Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh, and Cirencester should certainly be on your list.
Markets and Festivals
Maybe food festivals and produce markets are more your thing? Throughout year and across the Cotswolds you will always find something to visit and stock up from. Regular large markets such as Stroud Farmers Market through to annuals events such Broadway Food Festival and The Cotswold Show are a great visit due to the vast selection on offer at once from the region.
Larger towns of the Cotswolds?
We like to cover the Cotswolds AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) here on Cotswold TV but we also include towns and cities within 1 mile or so of the AONB. Here in the Cotswolds these towns, villages and cities are often known as a gateway to the Cotswolds or Centres of the Cotswolds.
A great way of pulling in some diversity in the ‘Cotswolds offering’ by bringing a bit of hustle and bustle into the Cotswolds mix.
Cheltenham is one of these Cotswold gateway towns due to being situated at the foot of the Cotswolds hills. The town is a hub for Shopping international brands and popular labels here in the Cotswolds. No matter what your style, price bracket or age you will find some great shopping opportunities in Cheltenham.
Slightly further down from the hills but still a stones throw away – you will find Gloucester – most noteworthy having some great brand shopping at the Gloucester Quays shopping centre.
If arriving in the Cotswolds via the M5 near Gloucester, heading both South or North you will find Gloucester Services – a great, one stop Cotswolds shop come elegant service station with local Cotswold produce, clothing and gifts. With different service stations North and South – worth a stop in both directions!!
