Story of LINC: THE LEUKAEMIA & INTENSIVE CHEMOTHERAPY FUND

We provide help at the sharp end of diagnosis and during the initial intensive treatment. By providing financial support we can help alleviate some of the worries. We fund two clinical psychologists providing emotional support which is essential for many families and relationships to cope better and remain strong throughout the illness.

This is by no means all we do. We provide equipment for the wards, new machines for diagnosis and treatment; make the patients’ stay more comfortable by providing televisions & DVD players and furnishings for the day room. LINC has funded the new LINC Outpatient department in Cheltenham General and refurbished the Edward Jenner Unit at Gloucester Royal Hospital.

Our latest project is to renovate the outdated bathrooms on Rendcomb Ward side rooms into walk in showers as part of our mission to improve patient care.
